Job Title: Deputy Head Housekeeper / Housekeeping Manager
Location: Burton Upon Trent, Staffordshire
Salary: £30,000 per year Contract: Permanent, full‑time Hours: 40 hours per week, 5 days out of 7 (including weekends and bank holidays)
Hunters 4 Staff are delighted to be working their client to find an experienced Deputy Head Housekeeper / Housekeeping Manager who has a passion for perfection. This role is ideal for someone who knows housekeeping operations inside out and is ready to lead from the front.
We're looking for an experienced senior supervisor or duty manager who can confidently support the Head Housekeeper and fully cover the department when needed. This is a hands‑on management role with real responsibility.
What you'll be doing
Managing payroll accurately and on time
Creating and managing rotas to meet operational needs
Controlling budgets and keeping costs on track
Recruiting, onboarding and supporting housekeeping staff
Leading the team day‑to‑day and maintaining standards
Taking full responsibility for operations in the Head Housekeeper's absence
What we're looking for
At least 2 years' experience in a senior housekeeping or duty management role
Strong people management and organisational skills
Confident handling payroll, rotas and budgets
Comfortable leading a team and making decisions
Flexible to work weekends and bank holidays as required
