Your new role
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Operations Supervisor to join our team at Ausco Hire in Hume, ACT. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will lead a small team responsible for a variety of tasks related to the preparation and return of our fleet assets to customers. This role is dynamic, with no two days being the same, and involves both office-based duties and hands-on work in the hire yard.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare hire fleet for safe transportation and delivery to customer locations, in strict compliance with safety standards.
- Ensure all fleet assets meet Ausco Hire's high-quality standards, conducting thorough checks and inspections before dispatch.
- Coordinate and participate in regular stocktakes, accounting for all serialized and non-serialized items and assets.
- Administer asset management processes in company-approved systems.
- Manage and oversee specialised projects and subcontractors to ensure successful outcomes.
About you:
We’re looking for candidates with proven experience in leading operational teams in a safe, efficient, and quality-focused manner. You should be highly adaptable, able to manage competing deadlines while maintaining a high standard of work. Other desired skills and experience include:
- Strong planning and time management abilities, with a flexible approach to meet conflicting priorities.
- Knowledge of the modular building, construction, or resource industries would be highly advantageous.
- Must hold a forklift (High Risk) licence and a current driver’s licence.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and work collaboratively across teams.
