Join our team in Nhill as the Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) Coordinator!
Part time, hours negotiable (minimum 6 hours - maximum 20 hours per week).
$40.93 per hour.
This is an ongoing role, funding dependent.
ABOUT THE ROLE/S:
Lead the OSHC team and enhance positive relationships with children, families and the school community.
Engage children in positive, fun, play activities while supervising for safety and positive peer interactions.
Promote positive relationships, effective communication, quality services, team support, and community building while upholding children's dignity and rights.
Implement the day to day running of service for the care of children enrolled.
Implement systems for compliance with all administrative requirements including Child Care Subsidy, enrollment forms and quality systems.
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA: Essential:
Effective communication and organisational skills.
Educators must hold, or be enrolled in and studying for, at least a qualification published on the list of approved diploma level qualifications for educators working with children over preschool age for Victoria List other criteria specific to the position.
Ability to communicate effectively with children, families/carers, community members, other OSHC staff, management and external providers.
Strong administration and organisational skills.
Proficient in computer and data entry (i.e. Word, Office, Outlook, Excel, client data management software.
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Desirable:
Qualification (Certificate or above) in children’s services or equivalent field.
Previous experience working in children’s services position or field.
PRE-REQUISITES:
NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
Working with Children Check.
Fully vaccinated (including influenza) as per current Department of Health Directives.
