ABOUT THE ROLE
The Nurse Unit Manager provides an oversight for all nursing staff and completes administrative tasks to ensure the health care facility is running smoothly.
The Nurse Unit Manager coordinates staffing and all needs related to the facility. They also need strong communication skills, diplomacy and the ability to take leadership of any situation.
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA: Essential:
Effective communication and organisational skills Registered Nurse with current Victorian Practicing Certificate and extensive ward management nursing experience.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.
Excellent understanding of EQuIP criteria (acute and community care facilities).
Desirable:
Qualification in management or equivalent field.
Post graduate qualification relevant to position or field.
