About Advance Thinking Advance Thinking is an established recruitment and consulting business entering an exciting new phase of growth.
Alongside our recruitment and consulting services, we're building specialist capabilities across AI, Automation, Process Improvement and Technology Consulting.
As we continue to grow, we're looking for a capable and proactive Recruitment Operations Consultant to join our team and take ownership across recruitment delivery, candidate and contractor engagement, and day-to-day business operations.
This is a varied role with plenty of opportunity to contribute, improve how we work and grow your responsibilities as the business expands.
The Role You'll work closely with the General Manager and wider team, supporting recruitment assignments from sourcing through to placement and onboarding, while helping us deliver a great experience for our candidates, contractors and clients.
This isn't a narrowly defined recruitment coordination role. We're looking for someone comfortable getting involved, taking ownership and helping wherever they can add value.
Your responsibilities will span recruitment, contractor management, business operations and team support.
The role will initially be approximately 25 hours per week, with flexibility and the opportunity for hours and responsibilities to increase as Advance Thinking grows.
What You'll Be Doing
Recruitment & Candidate Management
- Source and proactively engage candidates through LinkedIn, JobAdder, referrals and our existing networks.
- Review applications, screen and interview candidates and develop quality shortlists.
- Prepare candidate profiles and submissions for client opportunities.
- Coordinate interviews and manage candidate communication throughout the recruitment process.
- Build and maintain talent pools across our key recruitment markets.
- Create and refresh job advertisements and manage incoming applications.
- Support candidates through offer, onboarding and commencement.
Contractor & Recruitment Operations - Coordinate contractor agreements, onboarding documentation and compliance.
- Maintain regular contact with existing consultants and contractors.
- Support contract extensions, renewals and related administration.
- Keep JobAdder and internal recruitment records accurate and up to date.
- Help improve recruitment workflows, templates and processes.
- Support recruitment reporting and general operational requirements.
Business & Team Support - Assist with internal projects, documentation, presentations and reports.
- Coordinate meetings and follow up actions where required.
- Support LinkedIn content, company updates and basic marketing activities.
- Help coordinate team initiatives and events.
- Identify opportunities to simplify, automate and improve the way we operate.
About You We're looking for someone who combines
strong people skills with organisation, initiative and attention to detail.
You'll ideally be someone who:
- Has experience within recruitment, talent acquisition or recruitment operations.
- Is confident sourcing, screening and speaking with candidates.
- Takes ownership and doesn't need to be constantly directed.
- Is highly organised and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
- Communicates professionally and builds relationships naturally.
- Enjoys variety and working across different parts of a growing business.
- Looks for better ways of doing things rather than simply following existing processes.
- Is comfortable working within a small, collaborative team environment.
Experience with
JobAdder, LinkedIn Recruiter or similar recruitment platforms would be highly regarded.
Experience with contractor management, administration, marketing, social media or business operations would also be advantageous.
Above all, we're looking for someone with the
attitude, initiative and capability to grow with the role and the business.
Why Join Advance Thinking? This is an opportunity to join Advance Thinking at a point where you'll have genuine visibility and influence across the business.
You'll have:
- Flexibility: A permanent part-time role starting at approximately 25 hours per week.
- Variety: Work across recruitment, contractors, operations and internal initiatives.
- Ownership: Take responsibility for meaningful parts of our recruitment operation.
- Growth: Opportunity to expand your hours and responsibilities as the business grows.
- Exposure: Work directly with experienced consultants, candidates, contractors and clients.
- Impact: Help us improve how we recruit, operate and scale the business.
If you're looking for a flexible recruitment role where you can take ownership, make a genuine contribution and grow alongside an ambitious business,
we'd love to hear from you.
