Senior Business Analyst – General Insurance Transformation
2 Positions | 7-Month Contract | Sydney | 

Advance Thinking is seeking two experienced Senior Business Analysts to join a major transformation program within a leading General Insurance organisation.

This is a significant insurance technology transformation, migrating insurance products and policies from legacy platforms onto a strategic cloud-based insurance platform.

We are looking for experienced BAs who can operate confidently across business, technology, insurance products and complex transformation.

The Opportunity
There are two streams of work – one with a stronger broker/business focus and another with a stronger technology and insurance product migration focus.

You will work closely with business, product and technology teams through discovery and delivery, helping define how existing insurance products, processes and platforms transition into the future environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead discovery workshops with business and technology stakeholders
• Gather, analyse and document complex business requirements
• Map current and future-state processes
• Support insurance product and policy migration activities
• Translate business requirements into clear technology outcomes
• Identify process improvement and transformation opportunities
• Support data and platform migration activities
• Work across testing, implementation and business readiness
• Engage senior stakeholders across business and technology
• Explore opportunities to leverage AI to accelerate discovery and analysis

What We're Looking For
We are particularly interested in candidates with:

• Strong Senior Business Analyst experience
• General Insurance experience strongly preferred
• Experience working with insurance products, policies and/or broker environments
• Strong discovery and workshop facilitation capability
• Experience with complex technology or platform transformation
• Strong requirements gathering and process mapping skills
• Ability to operate effectively across business and technology teams
• Experience with data, policy or product migration advantageous
• Guidewire experience highly regarded
• Exposure to AI-enabled discovery or analysis advantageous

Strong candidates from broader Financial Services transformation environments may also be considered where they bring highly relevant BA and migration experience.
