About the Opportunity
This is not a traditional “back office” accounting role.

At OnDeck, our Senior Accountant sits at the centre of the business. You’ll work closely with senior leaders and executives, play a key role in business wide projects and change initiatives, and directly influence how our finance function supports rapid growth.

You’ll also play an important role in treasury activities, including daily liquidity reporting and proactive management of cash requirements, ensuring the business remains well positioned to support growth.

The Role
As Senior Accountant, you’ll be a trusted finance partner across the business. You’ll take ownership of month and year end processes, lead audit and regulatory engagements, and support effective treasury management through daily liquidity reporting and cash flow oversight.

Beyond core accounting, you’ll be involved in projects, system and process changes, and work closely with stakeholders across Product, Operations, Risk, and Leadership to improve how finance supports the business.

This role offers high visibility, direct access to executives, and the opportunity to make a meaningful, lasting impact.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

• Owning and delivering month end and year end close, ensuring accurate P&L and balance sheet outcomes
• Leading and supporting external audits, trustee and regulatory engagements
• Daily liquidity reporting and active management of cash requirements
• Driving  process improvement initiatives, automation, and system enhancements
• Supporting finance led projects and change initiatives across the business
• Partnering with stakeholders to improve financial understanding, controls, and outcomes
• Preparing high quality reporting and insights for senior leaders
• Acting as a key point of contact between Finance and the broader business

What We’re Looking For

• CPA or CA qualified
• Strong experience in audit and month/year end processes
• Proven ability to communicate confidently with non finance stakeholders
• Experience contributing to or leading projects and change initiatives
• A mindset focused on process improvement and continuous improvement
• Comfortable working in a fast growing, evolving environment
• Someone who wants to step beyond pure accounting and influence the business
