exclusively with Sumo Energy as they establish a brand new Queensland contact centre team. This is your chance to

The Role
As a Customer Service Consultant, you'll be the voice of Sumo Energy helping customers with a wide range of enquiries while delivering an experience that actually feels human.
This is a
high-volume inbound contact centre role (50-100 calls per day), where quality, empathy and attention to detail matter.
- Handling inbound customer enquiries across billing, payments and accounts
- Updating plans, tariffs & account details
- Navigating multiple systems and maintaining accurate notes (critical!)
- Managing conversations in line with strict energy industry compliance
- Identifying when to escalate (e.g. safety concerns like gas leaks)
- Taking the extra time to ensure customers feel heard and supported
What we're looking for - Strong customer service mindset - friendly, empathetic and solutions-focused
- Experience in a call centre or customer-facing role (entry-level considered)
- Excellent communication & listening skills
- Ability to learn systems quickly and work across multiple screens
- High attention to detail, especially with note-taking and compliance
- A proactive attitude - willing to learn, improve and grow
- Comfortable working in a regulated environment
Energy experience is
not required - full training provided
Shifts & Salary - $60,000 + Super
- Monday-Friday rotating roster between 7:30am - 6:00pm to service customers across Australia
- 37.5 hours per week
