At St Eugene’s OSHC, Burpengary, we provide primary school-aged children with opportunities to develop their social skills and extend their learning in a safe and supportive environment. Our programs include before school care, after school care and vacation care. The service is licensed for up to 135 children.
Our educators create fun, engaging and recreational experiences that support children’s wellbeing, learning and personal development in line with the My Time, Our Place framework. We value each child’s individual interests and encourage collaboration, friendships and the development of life skills.
About the Role We are seeking a motivated and organised Assistant Coordinator to support the daily operations of St Eugene’s OSHC. Working closely with the Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the service while contributing to high-quality care and engaging programs for children.
This role is a part-time position (35 hours per week) and will involve split shifts in line with OSHC operating hours (before and after school care).
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Coordinator in the day-to-day management of the service
- Assist with program planning, delivery and documentation
- Contribute to staff rostering and supervision
- Support administrative tasks, including attendance and fee processes
- Help deliver engaging, inclusive programs for primary school-aged children
- Maintain a safe, welcoming and nurturing environment
- Build positive relationships with children, families and the school community
- Promote the service within the local community in line with organisational values
About You - Diploma in Children’s Services, Early Childhood Education, or a related field (or working towards)
- Experience in OSHC, childcare or education settings
- Ability to support and guide a team in a positive and collaborative manner
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Knowledge of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and My Time, Our Place (desirable)
- Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certifications (or willingness to obtain)
