YHA Pittwater Eco is a vibrant and welcoming property nestled on the hillside of Morning Bay in Ku-ring-gai National Park, this unique eco-retreat offers breathtaking views and a tranquil escape for all located on the traditional lands of the Gadrigal people of the Eora Nation.
YHA Pittwater Eco features a range of private, family and co-living rooms with shared bathrooms and facilities, including a self-catering kitchen, cosy lounge area with fireplace (for the cooler months!) access to a BBQ, convenient proximity to local walks, sporting equipment where guests can explore the surrounding bushland, kayak on the bay, or simply relax.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Property Manager to lead the operations of this 30-bed property. This role is perfect for a manager who enjoys being involved in all levels of operation and has a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences, creating a welcoming atmosphere, and leading a small close-knit team. The ideal candidate will bring strong hospitality management skills, financial acumen, and the ability to drive the property’s success through innovation and partnerships. Additionally, the successful candidate will be rewarded with a 1 bedroom + 1 office stand-a-lone cottage to live in.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
At least 2 years in a hospitality leadership role.
Strong leadership, team building, and customer service skills.
Financial management experience with a focus on budgeting.
Excellent communication skills (guests, YHA, local community).
Strong problem-solving, change-management, and decision-making abilities.
Self-motivated, hands-on approach.
Passion for nature, sustainability, and environmental conservation.
Physical fitness for manual tasks.
Enthusiasm for varied tasks, including the ability to perform physical manual tasks (e.g., maintenance and repairs)
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Resourcefulness in remote settings.
Current Remote First Aid & CPR certifications will be required for the successful candidate which can be completed and funded by YHA at commencement
Willingness to complete Fire Warden and other safety training
