YHA Brisbane City is a 380-bed property located in the heart of the city providing comfortable and affordable accommodation and experiences to groups and independent travellers from around the world. This modern property offers a range of private and co-living accommodation rooms as well as an onsite cafe, rooftop pool and bar, co-working space, and wellness centre. Our crew of approximately 50 passionate and hardworking team members pride themselves on creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for guests and each other.

About the role:

We are seeking a full time Food & Beverage Attendant to join the team. The Food & Beverage Attendant is responsible for ensuring the Café and all our F&B functions operate smoothly.

What your duties will look like:

• Preparing/serving of coffee, food and drinks including taking orders
• Operating a point-of-sale terminal and EFTPOS machine plus cash handling
• Café cleaning duties including cleaning coffee machines and equipment
• Refilling drink fridges and snacks
• Maintaining service area to food safety standards
• Support of the Café Team with a “can do” attitude

  
What we are looking for:

• Demonstrated experience as a barista within a fast paced, premium establishment (min 2 years)
• Responsible Service of Alcohol Certification
• Flexible availability 24/7 roster including weekends and public holidays
• Outgoing personality and genuine interest in the day-to-day operations
• Ideally someone looking to build a career in Hospitality
