Wave International is a resource development firm with 25 + years of global experience in engineering, project delivery, project and asset management and provides project strategies and solutions across battery minerals, mineral sands, gold, bulk dry commodities and more.

Wave International are currently seeking a Senior / Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our Perth office. This role will provide key support across concurrent projects with demonstrated strengths/experience gained from a Consulting Engineering firm with a resources/minerals processing focus. 
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop mechanical systems, including conveyors, piping and hydraulics, for various engineering projects.
• Prepare and review detailed engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications to meet project requirements.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure designs are delivered efficiently, meeting quality standards and client expectations.
• Identify and resolve technical challenges, ensuring innovative solutions are implemented.
• Provide technical expertise and support to ensure successful project execution.

Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Significant experience in mechanical engineering within a mining and process facility setting.
• Strong technical background and demonstrated experience in materials handling and/ or process plant design.
• Strong proficiency in relevant engineering software and design tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex engineering tasks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience working in a consultancy environment.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a dynamic and collaborative team environment.
