Wave International is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of engineering design and brownfields infrastructure projects ranging from $500k to $2.5m+. This is a senior role within Wave's project delivery team, suited to someone who can take ownership of multidisciplinary engineering scopes, deliver consistent commercial outcomes, and build strong client relationships.
The role suits someone motivated by autonomy and responsibility. As you demonstrate capability and deliver outcomes, you will have increasing scope to develop and grow your own client base and project portfolio within the business.
What you'll do - Deliver projects from feasibility through to commissioning, with a focus on engineering design, brownfields upgrades, and infrastructure improvement works.
- Lead multidisciplinary engineering and drafting teams to deliver scopes safely, on schedule, and to budget.
- Manage schedule, cost, risk, reporting, change control, and governance requirements.
- Build effective relationships with clients and internal teams, contributing to repeat work and business growth.
- Apply structured problem solving to resolve technical and commercial issues with clarity and pace.
- Plan, forecast, and manage workload across multiple concurrent projects.
- Prepare and review design packages, technical documentation, tenders, and commissioning deliverables.
What you'll bring - Bachelor's degree in engineering or related.
- 8+ years' experience delivering engineering design or brownfields infrastructure projects, with hands-on responsibility for commercial management and client engagement.
- Proven capability managing projects in the $500k to $2.5m+ range.
- Strong knowledge of project governance, contract frameworks, and commercial drivers.
- Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary design teams.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and stakeholder management skills.
