ABOUT THE ROLE  
 
We are looking for a HV Substation Drafters to join our team assisting the Project Manager, Engineering Manager, and Civil Engineers to maintain communication with the broader delivery team to ensure that the project is built accurately and reflects the intentions of the drafted plans and drawings. This is a permanent, full-time role based in our South Brisbane office.   
 
Join our dynamic team to support the delivery of high-quality substation design projects. In this role, you will:

• Prepare and review design layouts, drawings, and cost estimates using AutoCAD or MicroStation.
• Assist in producing reports, plans, and documentation in collaboration with the engineering team.
• Conduct occasional site surveys and inspections to support design accuracy and as-built documentation.
• Ensure designs meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards with minimal supervision.
• Liaise with stakeholders and manage third-party approvals as needed.
• Support on-site design coordination, document control, and version management.
• Work closely with other designers to ensure compliance with EPEC and client quality systems.
• Safety and compliance are at the core of everything we do.

 
 
ABOUT YOU

• Bachelor's degree Engineering / Architecture / related field and/or Diploma 
• Experience in the design and development of high voltage systems an advantage 
• Experience in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience leading and mentoring junior peers in drafting activities. 
• Sound knowledge and understanding of all relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
