ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to our Operations General Manager, as EPEC's Field Service Manager, you will lead and drive the performance of our high voltage operations team.
In this pivotal role, you'll be at the forefront of delivering cutting-edge renewable and BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) projects—overseeing everything from estimation and procurement to construction and commissioning.
With safety, efficiency, and performance as your guiding principles, you'll lead a skilled team through complex substation projects as well as support EPEC's business development ventures. If you're passionate about high voltage systems and want to make a real impact in the renewable energy space, this is your moment.
Most of your time will be in the Brisbane office, with site visits required on an ad-hoc basis as you see needed — so no long stints away from home. Expect roughly a 70/30 office-to-site split.
ABOUT YOU
- Engineering degree / relevant trade certification with a career background in construction and commissioning environments - ideally from the power / energy / resources industries.
- Extensive experience delivering complex, multi-disciplinary high voltage grid connection projects.
- EFM License (Essential)
- Strong focus on Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ), with proven leadership skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and manage high-performing teams.
- Willingness and ability to travel to project sites as required.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills - confident in negotiating, influencing and driving decisive action.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Driven to implement operational improvements and increase efficiency,.
- Familiar with engineering codes, regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
