Join Isaac Regional Council as a qualified Plumber and play a key role in delivering essential plumbing, water and waste reticulation services across the region. Based in Middlemount, this hands on role supports the operation and maintenance of Council facilities, treatment plants and critical infrastructure.
You’ll carry out maintenance and repairs, perform scheduled works, undertake meter readings, and provide guidance to apprentice plumbers, all while ensuring safety, compliance and high quality service to the community.
To be successful in this position, you will have:
- Trade Qualifications in Plumbing
- Construction White Card & General Safety Induction Card
- C Class Open Australian Driver’s Licence
- Confined Space Entry certificate (or ability to obtain)
- Ability to pass pre‑employment assessments
- Experience in plumbing operations, including domestic plumbing and reticulation
- Knowledge of water and waste principles and legislative requirements
- Strong communication, teamwork and organisational skills
If you are successful in this position, you will receive: - $75,787.07 per annum (Level 8, Stream B) plus allowances, including
- $11,000.00 Market Loading Allowance
- Locality Allowance
- Tool Allowance
- CWA Allowance
- Nominally 76 hours per fortnight
- RDO’s in accordance with Council Policy
- Subsidised Council Housing @ $80.00 per week
- Tool of Trade Vehicle
- 5 weeks annual leave @ 17.5% loading
- 15 days personal leave per annum
- Up to 14.5% super in accordance with Council Policy
