The Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Associate to join a premier Finance team in Melbourne, working predominantly with clients in the energy industry. You will work closely with experienced Partners who have built a thriving energy and infrastructure practice and are genuinely invested in developing talented lawyers who share their passion for the sector.
You will gain high-end advisory and transactional experience across a range of sophisticated financing matters. The work is cutting-edge and impactful, with significant client exposure and opportunities to build a strong professional network.
This is a full-time permanent role based in Melbourne. Key responsibilities include:
- Advising on complex, high-profile project finance, acquisition finance, and corporate finance transactions
- Working on large-scale renewable energy projects including wind, solar, battery storage, and hydroelectric developments
- Contributing to major infrastructure projects spanning transport, digital technology, telecommunications, healthcare, and natural resources
- Advising on both domestic and international projects, collaborating with colleagues across the firm's global network
- Delivering innovative, solution-focused advice in a fast-paced, market-leading environment

You: You will have 5+ years post-admission experience with a background in general finance and a strong interest in the energy sector. Experience in project finance or energy financing is beneficial but not essential. You will have excellent communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a hunger to learn and develop. An innovative approach and curiosity about AI and emerging technologies will set you apart.
