About the Role
Join a respected New Zealand company with over 40 years expertise within its industry. Our client is recruiting a hands-on, detail-oriented Equipment Workshop Technician to assemble and test electronic control equipment.  This position is ideal for someone who enjoys intricate electronic work and thrives in a workshop environment. You’ll work independently, support occasional client site visits and contribute to innovative product research and development within a tight-knit, knowledgeable team.
  
Key Responsibilities

• Build and test electronic control equipment.
• Follow clear instructions and work to set plans.
• Maintain an organised and tidy workspace.
• Assist with stock arrivals and despatch and supervise contract outwork.
• Support new product research and development.
• Occasionally travel to client sites around NZ (full driver’s licence required).
• Assist with factory plant repair and maintenance.

  
What We’re Looking For

• Essential: to have an empathy for how stuff works.
• Strong interest in electronics (formal qualification not required).
• Ability to understand instrumentation and data logging systems.
• Good computing skills.
• Strong troubleshooting ability and able to learn quickly.
• Comfortable working independently and managing peaks and troughs in workload.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Commitment to health and safety standards and compliance with electrical/electronic work requirements is essential.
