What You'll Drive
As a Founding Applied AI Engineer, you'll shape the future of AI-driven automation for insurance operations. You'll design and implement LLM-first products that eliminate repetitive tasks like data entry, enabling professionals to focus on strategic initiatives and client relationships.

What You'll Focus On

• Develop browser automation with AI agents to classify web pages, extract information, and navigate complex insurance portals
• Build reliable agent skills that solve real-world challenges, such as searching for missing information or making decisions based on document context
• Design robust prompting systems, fine-tune models, and build evaluation frameworks for deterministic results from probabilistic systems
• Optimize cloud infrastructure to handle thousands of concurrent workflows across carriers and document types
• Create modules that seamlessly integrate with client systems and third-party tools via APIs or browser automation when APIs aren't available
• Collaborate with in-house insurance professionals and early users to identify pain points, prototype solutions, and ship impactful features

• 3+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on LLM and AI applications in Python
• Recent experience building LLM-first products or features with real-world usage
• Proficient in Python (dspy, Hugging Face, OpenAI/Gemini APIs) and knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript
• Strong foundational knowledge of serverless architecture, Docker, TDD, and microservices
• Experience working with agents (e.g., crew.ai) or handling unstructured documents (PDFs/OCR)
• Intellectually curious, hardworking, confident, and eager to build 0→1 solutions
