4 x MC Drivers | 1 x HR Driver | Waste industry experience essential
Driving for a waste company and want a better FIFO setup?
Our client, an established WA waste management business, is adding five experienced waste drivers to its Leonora team. The roster is day shift only, you get your own locked room, and you'll work with a crew that stays.
About Our Client
Our client is a West Australian-owned waste management business with branches across the Goldfields and Mid West. It works mainly for major mining operations and handles liquid and solid waste, industrial vacuum work, hydrocarbon bins, waste oil and recyclables.
Its operators live in Leonora permanently, so clients get the same faces every time. That consistency has built a stable team of about 20 drivers, and they're now growing it.
What's On Offer
- MC pay: $150k–$160k + super depending on experience
- HR pay: competitive salary, discussed at interview
- Roster: 12 days on / 7 off / 9 on / 7 off, with every swing ending in a full week at home
- Day shift only: 6:00am–6:00pm, with no night rotation
- Your own room: a permanent private room with an ensuite. It's locked while you're on R&R, professionally cleaned, and never shared.
- Meals and crib supplied
- Family first: if there's an emergency at home, they'll fly you home
- FIFO flights Monday, Wednesday and Friday
- $60/month phone allowance
The Fleet
All automatic, under 10 years old, and mostly under 5.
- MC: Scania automatic road trains, double road trains and tipper combinations
- HR: skip bin trucks, vacuum trucks and a front lift truck
The Role
You'll collect and transport waste for mine sites around Leonora, including:
- septic waste
- wastewater
- groundwater
- waste oil
- skip and hydrocarbon bins
It's varied, hands-on work, including strapping and securing loads by hand, and it's run to strict safety standards.
About You
You already know waste. You've driven skip, front lift, vacuum or liquid waste trucks, or hauled waste in road train and tipper combinations. You're safety-focused, fit for manual handling, and after a role where you can settle in for the long term.
Requirements - Previous waste industry experience (essential)
- Current MC or HR licence
- Controlled Waste Licence, either current or held previously and able to renew
- National Police Clearance issued within the last 6 months
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
Why This Role?
Many FIFO waste jobs mean shared rooms, night shifts and a crew that keeps changing. This one gives you:
- day shift only
- a room that's yours
- a modern automatic fleet
- about 20 drivers who stay
- a business that gets you home when your family needs you
