Operations Coordinator | FIFO Leonora | $125K–$135K + Super | 8/6 Roster
2 x positions | Back-to-back roster | Flights, own room and meals provided
Are you an organised, switched-on coordinator who likes keeping a busy operation moving? Our client, an established WA waste management business, is hiring two Operations Coordinators to work back to back on an 8/6 FIFO roster at its Leonora branch.
About Our Client
Our client is a West Australian-owned waste management business with branches across the Goldfields and Mid West, working mainly for the mining and resources sector. It handles liquid and solid waste, septic and wastewater servicing, industrial vacuum work, skip and hydrocarbon bins, waste oil and recyclables. It’s part of a growing group built on safety, quality and a family-friendly, supportive culture.
What’s On Offer
- $125,000–$135,000 + super, depending on experience
- 8/6 FIFO roster: eight days on, six days off, working back to back with a second coordinator
- Flights from Perth
- Your own room: a permanent private room with an ensuite. It’s locked while you’re on R&R, professionally cleaned, and never shared.
- Meals and crib provided
- Family first: if there’s an emergency at home, they’ll fly you home.
- A permanent role in a stable, growing business, with real influence over how the branch runs
The Opportunity
This is a hands-on operations role at the centre of the Leonora branch. You’ll work closely with the Branch Manager, drivers and clients to keep jobs, people and equipment moving safely and efficiently, while making sure the paperwork, records and compliance behind every job are right.
Key Responsibilities - Job and crew coordination: help schedule jobs, crews and trucks against client demand, and keep the day running to plan
- Client liaison: take bookings and enquiries, confirm jobs and keep clients updated on service
- Mobilisation and site access: coordinate new starters, inductions, medicals, site access and training records
- Travel and accommodation: book flights, transfers and rooms in line with rosters
- Job and waste records: manage job documentation in Simpro, weighbridge dockets, controlled waste tracking and environmental registers
- Fleet and compliance support: track pre-starts, defects, licences and expiry dates, and flag issues early
- Reporting: prepare operational reports and help with timesheets, invoicing and supplier paperwork
About You
You’re an experienced FIFO coordinator who understands how a mining or industrial operation runs. You’re highly organised, calm under pressure and great at juggling priorities, and you’re as comfortable talking to drivers and clients as you are working through a schedule or spreadsheet. You’re reliable, quick to learn and a genuine team player.
Essential - Previous FIFO experience
- Experience in an operations coordination, scheduling or senior site administration role, ideally in mining, transport, logistics or waste
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail
- Strong Excel, Word and Outlook skills
- Confident, professional communication with crews, clients and suppliers
- Must be able to fly from Perth
Highly Regarded - Waste management, transport or logistics experience
- Crew or fleet scheduling and dispatch experience
- Simpro experience
- Weighbridge, controlled waste or environmental record keeping
- Mobilisation, site access and FIFO travel booking
Why This Role?
$125K–$135K + super on an 8/6 roster, with flights, your own room and meals covered. It’s a role where you can see the impact of your work every day, with a business that’s growing and looks after its people.
