A leading financial institution is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead a high-priority audit remediation initiative while helping establish a new Technology Governance Function.
You'll coordinate across a large, multi-team environment to ensure audit readiness, drive remediation to completion, and support the transition to a sustainable governance model.
This is a high-impact, time-bound role with strong visibility across senior leadership and audit stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end audit remediation plan, including timelines, deliverables, and accountability
• Coordinate across 30+ teams to keep workstreams aligned and on track
• Ensure all audit documentation and artifacts are complete and compliant
• Manage the handover of remediation and governance responsibilities to the Technology Governance Function
• Prepare clear executive updates for senior stakeholders
• Track and escalate risks and issues, with defined mitigation plans
• Establish governance routines (meetings, reporting, escalation)
• Run steering meetings and working sessions to drive alignment
• Support audit readiness, including evidence tracking and stakeholder sign-offs
• Define and monitor project closure criteria

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of Project Management experience within financial services or a highly regulated environment
• Proven experience delivering audit remediation, regulatory response, or compliance-driven programmes
• Strong ability to influence across multiple teams without direct authority
• Experience engaging senior stakeholders (VP, CIO, Audit)
• Excellent risk and issue management discipline
• Ability to structure and execute complex, ambiguous initiatives with clear ownership and accountability
• Hands-on expertise with JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint
• Strong written communication skills, including executive reporting

Preferred:

• PMP certification or equivalent experience
• Experience with patch management, IT controls, or infrastructure governance
