Change Manager (Cloud Transformation Program)

- $135 - $145 p/h including super
Our government client is seeking an experienced Change Manager to play a pivotal role in a large-scale digital transformation program. This role sits at the centre of a major “Cloud Campus” initiative, focused on improving service delivery, operational efficiency, and learning outcomes through the adoption of new digital capabilities.
You’ll lead the people side of change—ensuring new systems, processes, and ways of working are understood, adopted, and embedded across the organisation.
About the Role Reporting to the Director of Strategy and Change, you will drive end-to-end change management activities across a complex, multi-project program. Working closely with program leadership, delivery teams, and business stakeholders, you’ll ensure that change impacts are effectively managed and that benefits are realised and sustained.
This is a highly visible role where you’ll influence senior stakeholders, coordinate change efforts across multiple business areas, and help foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities - Lead change, engagement, and adoption activities across the program.
- Develop and execute program-level change strategies and plans.
- Conduct stakeholder, impact, and readiness assessments.
- Deliver targeted communication and engagement initiatives.
- Partner with project and delivery teams to embed change into project lifecycles.
- Define and track adoption metrics and business benefits.
- Identify and manage risks, resistance, and change-related issues.
- Support transition of project outcomes into business-as-usual operations.
- Provide reporting on change progress, risks, and benefits realisation.
- Lead and coordinate change resources across the program.
About You You are a confident and experienced Change Manager with a track record of delivering outcomes in complex transformation environments.
- Strong experience in change management within large, multi-project programs.
- Proven ability to drive adoption and track benefits realisation.
- Expertise in structured change methodologies (e.g., Prosci, Lean, or similar).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including at executive level.
- Ability to influence, manage resistance, and build organisational commitment.
- Experience working in ICT-enabled transformation environments (public sector or education highly regarded).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex issues into practical solutions.
Desirable - Experience within education, government, or service delivery environments.
- Certifications in change management or continuous improvement (e.g., Prosci, Lean Six Sigma).
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, ICT, or organisational change.
