A remote Aboriginal community school is currently seeking a teacher for their Year 4-7 class who have a strong knowledge of the curriculum to embrace On-Country learning and project-based Two-way learning through cross-cultural themes.
Located in the Pilbara, approximately 45 minutes from Port Hedland, the school has approximately 15 - 25 students enrolled and is a two-teacher school. The school values and promotes the cultural heritage of its students and consistently utilises and builds upon the local cultural knowledge and experiences of the students, their family and their community. The language, culture and history of the students and their community is highly respected and embraced by the school and its programs. Literacy, numeracy and On-Country learning are central components of the school's curriculum. These are full time position for 2026, with a strong possibility to extend. The school has vacancies for a cook/cleaner and grounds maintenance which may be suitable for non-teaching partners.
