JOB SUMMARY
A client of ours is seeking a Sourcing and Supplier Manager to lead procurement strategy, supplier performance, and supply continuity within a manufacturing environment, ensuring delivery against cost, quality, and operational targets.

Our client operates within a specialised manufacturing environment, focused on delivering high-quality products through strong operational discipline, supplier partnerships, and continuous improvement across their supply chain.
 
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
In order to be shortlisted for the vacancy, the successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies, but not limited to:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management
• Strong contract negotiation and commercial acumen
• Experience managing supplier performance and SLAs
• Ability to analyse spend data and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Experience working within a manufacturing environment
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Experience managing and developing a team
• Proficiency in ERP system Syspro is an advantage, but SAP or similar programme experience is also acceptable.
• Knowledge of global sourcing and supply chain processes
• Ability to assess risk and implement mitigation strategies
• Advantageous:
• Qualification in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field
• Exposure to Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement
• Technical understanding of components and supplier evaluation processes

JOB DESCRIPTION
The role responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

• Develop and execute sourcing and procurement strategies
• Manage supplier relationships and performance against SLAs
• Negotiate contracts and optimise commercial terms
• Drive cost reduction and supply consolidation initiatives
• Oversee RFQs, tenders, and supplier selection processes
• Monitor spend, market trends, and procurement performance metrics
• Ensure procurement processes meet quality, cost, and delivery targets
• Mitigate supply risks through diversification and contingency planning
• Lead and develop the procurement team
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across procurement functions
