The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a pivotal executive leadership role responsible for shaping the company’s financial strategic direction and overseeing financial management, commercial services, procurement, risk and compliance. As a trusted advisor to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Board of Directors, the CFO will play a vital role in leading the company’s financial strategy and ensuring robust governance, commercial insight, and corporate effectiveness.
Based in Tasmania, the CFO will build strong and influential relationships with the community, shareholders, funding agencies, Board, as well as the CEO and leadership team. The role will lead initiatives that enhance commercial performance, improve operational efficiency, and strengthen the company’s capabilities, while ensuring transparent, timely, and accurate financial reporting, supporting major projects, and driving long-term sustainability. The CFO will play a vital role in fostering a high-performing team culture within a dynamic and ever-evolving environment.
The successful applicant will bring extensive high-level financial management skills, advanced commercial and analytic capability, and relevant tertiary qualifications. Demonstrated experience in complex, customer-focused environments, strong business improvement capability, and experience translating strategic vision into an operating model are critical for success in this role, along with excellent communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams through periods of transformation with confidence and resilience.
