THE COMPANY
Our client operates a successful and growing free-range egg farm based on strong principles of sustainability and animal welfare.  

THE ROLE
A vacancy has arisen for a hands-on Farm Manager to oversee the farm livestock operations and to lead a livestock team of around six personnel.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Recruit, manage, develop and train team members.
• Engage team members and develop a positive workplace culture.
• Monitor the health and welfare of the layer flock and deliver agreed performance targets.  
• Ensure a safe work environment
• Ensure quarantine conditions are rigidly adhered to.
• Monitor and manage maintenance of farm plant and equipment.    

• Prior experience in poultry livestock management preferably but not necessarily in egg layers
• Prior experience in leading a small team.
• A hands-on management style and mechanical aptitude
