R & W Group is seeking a Client Account Services Specialist to join the finance team of a highly regarded Washington, DC law firm. This is a great opportunity for an experienced accounts receivable professional who enjoys working directly with attorneys and clients and is comfortable taking ownership of the collections process.
This position will serve as a key point of contact for client account and collection matters, working closely with attorneys, firm leadership, and clients to resolve outstanding balances, answer account questions, and develop effective payment solutions.
 
Responsibilities
 

• Manage client collection activity and follow up on outstanding accounts

 

• Communicate directly with attorneys and clients regarding account balances and payment status

 

• Build strong, professional relationships with attorneys and client contacts

 

• Research and resolve billing, payment, and account related questions

 

• Develop creative and appropriate payment arrangements when needed

 

• Partner with attorneys and firm leadership to address collection concerns

 

• Maintain accurate documentation of collection activity and client communications

 

• Provide a high level of client service while balancing the firm's financial objectives

 
Qualifications
 

• Three or more years of accounting or finance experience, preferably within accounts receivable

 

• Prior law firm experience is highly preferred

 

• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

 

• Professional and confident when communicating with attorneys and clients

 

• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet goals

 

• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

 

• Resourceful and comfortable resolving sensitive client account issues

 

• Experience with electronic billing systems is preferred

 

• Experience with Aderant is preferred

 

• High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred

 
Schedule
 
The position will be onsite during the initial training period for the first few weeks. After training, the schedule is hybrid with three days in the office and two days remote. The onsite requirement is firm.
 
Compensation
 
$75,000 to $85,000 annually, based on experience.   This is an exempt position reporting to the Director of Billing and Revenue.  Benefits include health insurance.
