Are you an accountant?  Do you have law firm experience?    Would you like to work with one of the top law firms in the US?  If so, R & W Group has a fantastic new temporary opportunity!  One of our favorite law firm clients is looking for a temporary Staff Accountant to work in the DC on a hybrid basis. In this role, you would assist the Assistant Manager of Accounting and Senior Manager of Accounting in reconciling general ledger accounts, preparing and analyzing monthly financial statements, and preparing financial schedules as required and assists the Director of Accounting as needed. 
 

1. Review and prepare reconciliations on a monthly basis for assigned balance sheet accounts.
2. Respond to day-to-day general ledger expense queries, provide information and prepare and input journal entries (including reclasses) as needed.
3. Provide detail information and reports as required.
4. Assist in the interim and year-end audit processes.  Prepare schedules, as required. Provide information to auditors; respond to and research all questions from the auditors when necessary.
5. Fulfill additional responsibilities in the absence of another accountant.

 
 
Solid compensation ($30- 42/hour, depending upon experience.)   The hours would be 8:30-5:30 or 9-6.   The office is Metro accessible.  Apply online or register with us at www.r-wgroup.com.
