Law Clerk, Real Estate Leasing and Transactions

Our client is a leading national law firm and we're seeking a Law Clerk to join their Commercial Real Estate team in Toronto. This hybrid role offers a mix of remote and in-office work.

The Law Clerk will support commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and leasing. Responsibilities also extend to land development, managing everything from municipal applications to title searches, and completing registrations.
Key Responsibilities:

• Draft and revise transaction documents, including agreements, leases, and title requisitions
• Manage due diligence, title searches, and off-title enquiries for real estate transactions
• Coordinate closing processes, including documentation review, funds management, and registrations
• Collaborate with solicitors, clients, and government officials to ensure smooth transactions

• Law Clerk Diploma, with an undergraduate degree preferred
• 6+ years of experience in commercial real estate law
• Strong title-searching, drafting, and analytical skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and legal-specific software like Teraview and Aderant
