Job Title: Director of Computational Biology – Neuroscience & Mental Health (CNS)

Location: Baden-Württemberg, Germany

Are you an experienced leader in Computational Biology ready to drive innovation across Neuroscience, drug discovery, and translational medicine? We're seeking an expert to lead computational efforts across CNS therapeutic areas — from early-stage discovery through to Phase IIb proof-of-concept clinical trials.
This role sits at the intersection of scientific excellence, strategic impact, and team development — an opportunity to influence the company's neuroscience portfolio while building and growing a world-class team.

Strategic Focus Areas

• Precision Medicine
• Patient Segmentation and Selection
• Biomarker Discovery (including imaging/fMRI + multi-omic integration)

Key responsibilities

• Lead computational biology strategy and execution within CNS
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional leaders
• Drive the identification and development of New Therapeutic Concepts
• Prioritise high-impact projects in support of the CNS pipeline
• Act as a scientific partner to therapeutic decision-makers

  
What We’re Looking For

• Strong background in computational biology, translational science, and neuroscience
• Experience working across early discovery to late-stage development and biomarker identification
• Significant experience in leading cross-functional teams and external partnerships
• Deep understanding of method development, biology of disease, and image + multi-omics data integration
• Strong influencer and communicator who can lead with conviction
• Proven experience managing resources (FTEs and CROs) and developing teams
• Exposure to clinical pharmacology and safety-related translational work is a significant plus
