A largest Global Ground Handling Company at Auckland Airport, delivering time-critical logistics services is seeking experienced full time Warehouse Agent who can ensure operational duties are performed in a safe and timely manner and meet airline and company standards, while maintaining policies, standards and safety requirements of the airline and company.
Permanent Full time. Rotational shift roster 7 days a week, across a 24-hour period.
Pay: $25.84 per hour
Main accountabilities include:
Operation and handling of forklift and mechanical lift equipment for the movement of ULD’s and cargo during processing of freight in and out of the Warehouse.
Correct recognition, awareness, documentation and handling of ULD’s and ULD labels and tags.
Receipt and acceptance of freight for export ensuring correct documentation is enclosed and freight accepted matches documentation.
Correct build-up of loads onto appropriate ULD’s, ensuring all freight is recorded correctly onto appropriate manifest.
Correct breakdown of imported freight ensuring received is of correct quantity and condition as recorded on manifest.
Always observe safe and secure practices in conjunction with Menzies Aviation and AIAL regulations.
Carry out other warehouse duties as determined by Cargo Leads, Cargo Duty Managers and or the Cargo Services Manager.
Report any faults or irregularities with equipment, facilities, systems or processes to the appropriate management.
Carry out all Cargo handling activities as directed by the Company through its policies, procedures and training to ensure the success of the operation
Remain up to date with all station notices relating to policies and procedures
Remain up to date with all relevant operational, systems and training
Maintain a safe and secure working environment at all times
Comply with the Company’s open, fair and honest reporting culture
Comply with allocated uniform policy
Requirements:
Previous warehouse and or devanning experience;
Knowledge of warehouse procedures;
Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures to minimise any potential hazards;
Be able to demonstrate how to operate machinery such as forklifts;
Hold a Class 1 New Zealand Driver's License;
Hold a Dangerous Goods License (Preferred)
Hold a current Forklift License; (Preferred)
Good eye for detail
Honest and Reliable
Be able to demonstrate can work in a team or independently;
Reasonably fit and strong as much of the work involves lifting and standing for long periods
If successful, you will be required to undergo an Airport Security check which must return a clean criminal history and a pre-employment medical assessment which includes a drug and alcohol test.
As a Warehouse Agent it is a requirement to operate as a team member and actively assist other staff members in their duties, and to complete any other duties that may be required from time to time. This role does not preclude you from assisting in any other area within the company, for which training will be given.
