A global aviation services company providing a range of ground-handling and support services in the Auckland Airport Precinct is seeking Front of House, Check-in Agents. As a Front of House Agent, you will support airlines by performing airline ticketing counter and gate service functions for airline customers. The main purpose of the role is to facilitate a smooth airport experience for passengers and assisting in the efficient processing of passengers through the airport from arrival to departure.
Main accountabilities include:
Provide exceptional Customer Service
Check customers travel documentation with relevant identification
Process Customers and baggage using automated or manual systems
Process check in, tag baggage, arrange seating & issue boarding passes
Board customers onto flights whist complying with safety and security procedures
Make customer announcements in accordance with the specific airline requirements.
Identifying and assisting passengers with special needs including groups, passengers requiring wheelchair assistance and unaccompanied minors
Provide assistance at check in with queue management, excess luggage monitoring and assist with removal of fragile items for collection
Deal with disruption and irregularities with confidence and composure
Assist at gates to ensure an efficient boarding process, pre-boarding passengers, locating missing passengers etc
Job Requirements:
Strong understanding of delivering outstanding customer service
Computer and technology savvy
Efficient, reliable, and well-presented
Fluent in spoken and written English
Able to speak Mandarin and proficiency in other Asian languages would be preferred
Holds a full New Zealand Class 1 Driver's Licence
Flexible and available for 24/7 shift work, including early starts, late finishes, weekends, and public holidays
Able to pass all pre-employment checks (MOJ, drug test, references, and medical)
Professional attitude with excellent interpersonal and people skills
High level of verbal and written communication skills
Expected Attendance (Days and Time of Work): Mon to Sun: rostered shifts (24/7)
Pay rate: $25.84
