Auckland Airport is seeking customer-focused Customer Service Assistants to join the team on a casual contract, to provide an exceptional customer service for all customers, visitors, contractors, and business partners operating from or using the airport terminals and surrounds.
Key Accountabilities:
Assistance to Customers and Visitors
Provide assistance to all airport customers which includes, but not limited to, providing a helping hand, lifting and carrying of luggage and pushing of baggage trolleys
Provide information to all airport customers and visitors, ensuring all information provided is up to date and relevant.
Respond to any operational requests which may include lifting and carrying of stanchions throughout the terminal buildings, setting up queuing configurations in disrupt situations, moving digital signage around the terminal buildings and assisting with crowd management.
Attend briefings at the start of each shift or when required.
Provide assistance and support when required to ensure the smooth delivery of the Auckland Airport concierge services
Terminal Presentation:
Complete terminal presentation audits on electronic devices as and when required.
Assist with checking areas of the terminal on an ad hoc basis as required to ensure the terminal is presented to the standard expected
General Support
Respond to and assist when required to any emergencies and/or incidents when these occur during working hours.
Comply with Company operations instructions and directions.
Assist with ensuring the safe passage of all people using the airport terminals and surrounds.

Job Requirements:
Ability to speak a second language highly valued (Able to speak one of the following languages: Chinese, German and Spanish is preferred)
Previous 6 Months minimum experience in a Customer Service experience in tourism, retail, hospitality are preferred
Full driver licence as the shifts are rostered
Ability to work on a rotational roster with varying shift patterns, including early mornings, evenings, and busy periods
Must be able to pass Ministry of Justice checks, drug testing, and other pre-employment checks
Demonstratable experience in frontline customer service
Physically fit (ability to lift luggage of +20kgs) and able to stand for 8+ hour shifts
Passionate about delivering a customer focussed service
Highly motivated with a very positive outlook
Lively and outgoing personality.
Ability to use electronic resources such as a tablets and mobile technology
Strong verbal communication
Effective written communication skills
Able to work as an individual and as a team player
Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
Demonstrate a high standard of reliability and integrity
Demonstration of team leadership
Safety and Security awareness
Knowledge of Tourism industry, geography and airport environment
Pay Rate: $28.95
Able to work any days of the week and not just weekends.
