An Education Charitable Trust at Airport Precinct is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic part-time Job Placement Facilitator to help the Youth in getting into employment.
  
Purpose of the Role:
The Job Placement Facilitator is responsible for preparing, supporting, and placing rangatahi (youth) into employment or further training. This includes delivering employability workshops, job search support, online application assistance, conducting mock interviews, and liaising with employers. The facilitator will also transport students to and from the programme daily. The Facilitator is then responsible for supporting each young person with intensive mentoring and support for 12 months post-placement.
  
Key Responsibilities:
1. Employment & Training Support

• Assist students with CV development, job applications, and cover letters
• Teach students how to navigate online job platforms and apply for roles
• Prepare students for job interviews through coaching and mock interview sessions
• Match students with suitable job or training opportunities 
• Monitor progress of placed students and provide ongoing intensive support.

2. Student Engagement

• Build strong, positive relationships with students
• Motivate and mentor students to engage positively with the programme
• Help students set achievable career goals and track progress

3. Administration & Compliance

• Maintain accurate records of job placements and student progress
• Ensure all data and reports are submitted on time
• Comply with organisational policies including health & safety and safeguarding
• Pass and maintain a clear Police Vetting Check

4. Stakeholder Engagement

• Build strong connections with local employers and training providers
• Promote the programme and advocate for student opportunities
• Work collaboratively with internal team members including tutors and managers

Required:

• Full, clean NZ Driver Licence (Class 1)
• Experience in job placement, youth mentoring, career support, or similar
• Strong understanding of employment and training pathways in Aotearoa
• Confident in using digital tools and online job application platforms
• Able to pass Police Vetting (mandatory)

Preferred:
● Experience working with rangatahi or in education/youth services
● Knowledge of the Manukau and South Auckland job market

Working Days: Wednesday, Thursday & Friday: 9 am to 3 pm
Pay rate: $30 per hour
