The Wilner Group is partnering with a growing real estate organization seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Property Accountant to oversee the financial operations of a portfolio of properties and related entities.
This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of monthly financial reporting while partnering closely with Asset Management, Property Management, lenders, and external auditors.
Key Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly close for assigned properties, reviewing operating reports prepared by an outsourcing team
• Prepare lender and investor reporting; monitor covenant compliance
• Manage draw submissions and liaise directly with lenders
• Monitor cash flow, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
• Review CAM reconciliations and respond to tenant inquiries
• Collaborate on annual budgets and prepare required financial submissions
• Coordinate year-end processes with tax accountants and external auditors
• Review financial statements and tax return drafts prior to approval
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards
• Partner cross-functionally to resolve financial and operational matters

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 3+ years of property accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of real estate accounting, leases, and property management practices
• Proficiency in Yardi or similar real estate software
• Advanced Excel skills; strong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
• Solid understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, and GAAP principles
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple properties and deadlines simultaneously
