Residential Experience Officer
Salary: £27,400 – £29,082 per annum (pro rata for part time)
Contract: Term Time Only (40 weeks per year)

About the Role
We are recruiting a dedicated Residential Experience Officer to join a Further Education college in Northampton. You will play a key role in creating a safe, positive, and engaging residential experience for learners, enhancing their personal development and wellbeing outside of the classroom.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality supervision, support and guidance to students living in college accommodation.
• Promote student wellbeing, positive behaviours and development.
• Build strong relationships with students, parents and staff to support learners’ residential experience.
• Ensure residential environments are safe, welcoming and nurturing.
• Support activities and events that enhance community engagement and student experience.

  
What We’re Looking For

• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with students and staff.
• Experience of working with young people or in a pastoral/support role.
• Ability to work independently, use initiative and solve problems.
• A positive, student‑centred approach with strong organisational skills.
• Previous experience in a residential, safeguarding or youth work setting is desirable but not essential.

• Salary of £27,400 – £29,082 per annum (£23,711.54 - £25,167.12 per annum after pro rate)
