Salary: £33,351 – £47,397 FTE (dependent on experience)

We are working with a forward-thinking and well-established further education provider in Manchester, currently launching a brand-new provision.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing team, supporting apprentices and learners while ensuring quality and compliance across assessment practices in a modern, well-equipped setting.
The Role As a Carpentry & Joinery Assessor / IQA, you will support learners through their qualifications by carrying out workplace assessments, tracking progress, and ensuring all standards meet awarding body requirements. You will also play a key role in internal quality assurance, helping maintain excellence across the provision.
Key Responsibilities - Assess learners in Carpentry & Joinery across a range of programmes
- Conduct workplace visits and provide constructive feedback and support
- Monitor learner progress and ensure timely achievement
- Carry out Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) activities in line with standards
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with awarding organisations
- Support continuous improvement of the new provision
What We’re Looking For - Level 3 qualification in Carpentry & Joinery (or closely related discipline)
- Minimum Level 3 teaching or assessing qualification (e.g. A1/CAVA or equivalent)
- IQA qualification (or willingness to work towards)
- Strong industry experience within Carpentry & Joinery
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Passion for supporting learners and maintaining high-quality standards
