We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive individual to join our team as a site coordinator who will be issuing permits and be at the forefront of ensuring that all mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation (M&E&I) work is conducted safely, compliantly, and efficiently through your management of permits and authorisations.

So as the Permit Officer / Safety Officer / Compliance Officer / Site Safety Coordinator what will you be doing?

• Permit Control & Compliance: Issue, sign, and manage all necessary permits, maintaining strict adherence to safety and authorization procedures.
• Safety Documentation: Maintain accurate records, ensuring all permits and documentation are correctly completed and compliant.
• Front-of-House Service: Act as the main point of contact for site access, collaborating with the person in charge to control access and ensure the limitation of entry where required.
• Site Coordination: Schedule and de-conflict work activities, inform team members of upcoming work, and address any potential disruptions.
• Gatekeeper for Safety Protocols: Enforce safety codes, verify authorizations, and oversee the issuance of keys to authorized personnel only.
• Safety Culture: Foster a zero-incident culture by reporting any deviations, conducting regular checks, and upholding safety standards.

This role is ideal for someone with experience as a:

• Safety Officer: Skilled in implementing safety protocols and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Compliance Officer: Strong in managing permits and upholding safety standards.
• Work Control Coordinator/Supervisor: Adept in scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring work activities.
• Permit Coordinator/Administrator or permit officer: Experienced in processing permits and maintaining clear, accurate records.
• Site Supervisor with Safety Focus: Experienced in overseeing site operations with a commitment to safety and compliance.

As the Permit Officer / Safety Officer / Compliance Officer / Site Safety Coordinator you will have the following:

• Proven experience in issuing permits, work control, safety, or compliance within M&E or similar environments.
• Strong organisational and communication skills, with keen attention to detail.
