Talent-UK are currently recruiting for an experienced Industrial Sewing Machinist on behalf of their client, a successful manufacturer in the Bradford area, the role is offered on a temporary to permanent basis, working days with an early finish on Friday, the role offers great benefits with ongoing training and development.
  
This is a varied hands-on manufacturing role and not solely a stationary sewing position. Cutting experience is desirable, although full training will be provided on the use of an Eastman cutting knife.
  
Key Responsibilities for the Industrial Sewing Machinist:

• Operate industrial sewing machines including lock stitch and twin needle machines.
• Sew fabric and other materials to production specifications and quality standards.
• Read and follow patterns, measurements, and technical instructions.
• Use industrial cutting equipment, including an Eastman knife (training provided).
• Inspect finished products to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Carry out basic machine adjustments and report maintenance issues.

  
Industrial Sewing Machinist Skills required:

• Minimum of two years’ experience operating industrial sewing machines.
• Experience using both lock stitch and twin needle machines essential.
• Cutting experience desirable but not essential.
• Experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Willingness to learn and undertake training on Eastman cutting equipment.
• Ability to use initiative working independently and as part of a team.

  
Working Hours:
39 hours per week

• Monday – Thursday: 07:30 – 16:00
• Friday: 07:30 – 15:00
