Office Manager and Bookkeeper | Grange | $90,000 - $100,000 + Super
About the Role:
Join our client as an experienced Office Manager / Bookkeeper to play a key role in a high performing boutique accounting firm which is located just north of Brisbane CBD with plenty of on street parking and public transport access.
Lead the growth of the bookkeeping desk by bringing on new clients and settle into a long-term role with vision and opportunity for development. The ideal candidate will have previous experience across multiple entities, completing full-service bookkeeping and ad-hoc duties as per client’s needs, as well as office management experience including on/offboarding clients, maintaining policy and procedure manuals, preparing client work and general office admin duties.
Key Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping:
Regular bookkeeping on a weekly/fortnightly/monthly basis for bookkeeping clients including but not limited to:
- Bank reconciliations, Xero and Hubdoc processing
- Reconciling income in Xero/Stripe including reconciling foreign currency transactions
- Payroll processing/reviews
- Preparation of reports as requested by clients
- Regular communications with clients via telephone and email
- Client meetings/training sessions (in person at the office and via Teams/Zoom)
- Client site visits (as required)
- Ad-hoc support for clients (primarily Xero but occasionally other packages)
- STP, TPAR, ATO payment plans, superannuation processing/lodgements
- Maintaining Xero Advisor and Payroll Certification
- Xero/Hubdoc setup
Office Management:
- Greeting clients, answering and directing phone calls, maintaining boardroom
- Scheduling meetings, coordinating staff schedule
- Maintaining register of client documents
- Processing mail
- Onboarding/offboarding clients
- Ensure filing systems are maintained and current
- Maintain policy and procedure manuals
- Preparation of client work for presentation to clients
- Managing client documents to sign via Annature
- Managing services for the office – Shred-X, Plants, Bathrooms, Kitchen, Cleaners
- Maintaining office procedures and updating policies regularly in accordance with CAANZ guidelines and quality control requirements
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Bookkeeping.
- Previous Public Practice bookkeeping/office management experience (preferred).
- Strong experience with Xero, BGL CAS, Microsoft Suite.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- A proactive and detail-oriented approach.
