As the leading medical recruitment agency in South Africa, our client has an exciting opportunity for a Practice Manager to be based in Pinelands, Western Cape.
The client
Our client is a specialised neurology practice providing patient-centred care within a professional clinical environment. The practice is committed to delivering a seamless healthcare experience through efficient systems, strong multidisciplinary collaboration and a high standard of administrative and operational excellence.
The opportunity
This role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of a busy neurology practice while ensuring a smooth, efficient and patient-focused experience. The successful candidate will manage operations, coordinate patient care pathways and support both clinical and administrative functions within a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary point of contact for patients, guiding them through their care journey
- Coordinate patient care pathways from initial consultation through to follow-up appointments
- Support patients with non-medical queries, including medical aid and billing processes
- Manage front desk operations, including welcoming patients and handling enquiries
- Oversee appointment scheduling and calendar management using electronic systems
- Prepare and manage patient files, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate
- Handle correspondence, including report typing, proofreading and communication with referring practitioners
- Ensure compliance with POPI requirements in all administrative processes
- Oversee daily operations, including financial administration and resource allocation
- Manage billing processes, including invoicing, receipting and coding
- Liaise with hospitals, healthcare providers and other stakeholders to ensure integrated care
- Support practice operations, including office management, stock control and equipment coordination
Requirements: - Matric
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in healthcare practice management
- Strong computer literacy, including GoodX, Trello, Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of medical aids, billing processes, coding and hospital workflows
- Understanding of financial management and basic accounting principles
- Self-motivated with strong organisational skills
