As the leading medical recruitment agency in South Africa, our client has an exciting opportunity for a House / Facility Manager to be based in Plettenberg Bay.
The Client
Our client is a reputable rehabilitation centre providing residential care in a structured, supportive, and therapeutic environment. Their facility is run with a focus on dignity, consistency, and creating a well-managed, comfortable space for all residents.
The Opportunity
This role closely resembles that of a lodge or guesthouse manager and requires an organised, service-driven individual with strong hospitality experience. The ideal candidate is hands-on, proactive, and able to oversee the smooth running of the facility’s residential operations, housekeeping, kitchen, and general logistics.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily cleanliness, order, and presentation of all rooms and communal areas
- Supervise housekeeping staff, manage schedules, and maintain high standards
- Conduct regular inspections of rooms and facilities
- Manage linen, laundry, and room readiness
- Oversee the day-to-day functioning of the kitchen and catering operations
- Supervise kitchen staff and ensure food hygiene and service standards
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management and ordering
- Coordinate facility repairs and maintenance with service providers
- Manage consumables and supplies across housekeeping, kitchen, and operations
- Support the daily workflow across departments
- Welcome new residents, manage room allocations, and support orientation
- Respond to resident needs and queries with professionalism and care
- Maintain checklists, logs, inventories, and other operational documentation
- Assist with staff scheduling for housekeeping and kitchen teams
- Report facility issues, incidents, or concerns to management
Requirements - Guesthouse/B&B/lodge management or hospitality supervisory experience (essential)
- Experience managing housekeeping and kitchen/catering teams
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to uphold high cleanliness, hygiene, and service standards
- Excellent communication and people-management skills
- Professional, reliable, and able to work independently
- Must reside in Plettenberg Bay
- Valid driver’s licence
Benefits - Salary: R15,000 – R20,000 per month
