As the leading medical recruitment agency in South Africa, our client is seeking a highly professional and experienced Medical Receptionist for placement at a reputable drug rehabilitation facility based in Plettenberg Bay. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the front of house function while providing comprehensive administrative and operational support across the centre. This position requires an energetic, organised, and compassionate individual with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism.
 
Responsibilities:

• Manage all front-of-house operations, including welcoming clients, families, and visitors.
• Handle all incoming calls, emails, and general enquiries in a professional and supportive manner.
• Coordinate patient admissions, discharges, and appointment scheduling for clinical staff.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in line with centre protocols.
• Assist with daily administrative functions, including filing, data capturing, document preparation, and office organisation.
• Act as an all-round support resource, assisting with operational tasks such as supplies management, room readiness, and coordination with internal departments.
• Liaise with external service providers when required.
• Uphold confidentiality, professionalism, and ethical standards at all times.

Requirements:

• At least 3 years' experience as a Medical Receptionist (experience in a rehabilitation, mental health, or medical facility advantageous).
• Strong administrative and organisational capability.
• Excellent communication and client-engagement skills.
• Ability to remain calm, empathetic, and composed in high-pressure situations.
• Proficiency in medical administration systems and basic office software.
• Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.

Salary is market related
