CNC Programmer / Setter / Operator
Stoke-on-Trent Salary: Dependent on experience Temp to Perm Day shift: 8:00am – 4:30pm, early finish Fridays
At Hunters 4 Staff, we're supporting a long‑standing engineering business in Stoke‑on‑Trent who are looking for an experienced CNC Programmer, Setter and Operator to join their team. This is a hands‑on role for someone confident with Fanuc controls and who enjoys working to a high standard. You’ll also supervise a small team and help support training and development on the shop floor.
What you’ll be doing
Programming, setting and operating CNC machines using Fanuc controls
Machining parts from bar, castings and profiles, ensuring every part meets drawing and quality requirements
Supervising a small team and supporting training and development where needed
Carrying out machine maintenance in line with company procedures
Requesting tooling and consumables as required
Keeping your work area clean and tidy and following all Health & Safety processes
Working with a right‑first‑time, quality‑focused approach
What we’re looking for
Strong CNC programming, setting and operating experience (Fanuc essential)
Able to read and work from engineering drawings
Experience leading or supervising a small team
Good attention to detail and a quality‑driven mindset
Reliable, proactive and confident working independently
