HGV Technician
Pay rate: Competitive, negotiable DOE (Depending on Experience)
Contract: Full-Time
Shift: Day Shift 
Pay: Up to £17.97 per hour plus monthly bonus of £2-£300.00, overtime paid at time & a third for first 2 hours then time & half after, double on Sundays. 
 
Hunters4Staff are looking for a candidate who will be responsible for carrying out maintenance, servicing, inspections, and repairs on a mixed fleet of trailers and vans, with a strong focus on trailers. The role requires a skilled and safety-conscious technician who can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a mixed fleet of trailers and vans
• Perform routine inspections to ensure vehicles are roadworthy and compliant
• Diagnose faults and carry out effective rectification
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within company guidelines
• Maintain a safe working environment and comply with all Health & Safety legislation and company procedures at all times

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required

• Previous experience as an HGV Technician, Trailer Fitter, or Van Technician (essential)
• Minimum of 2 years' relevant experience in a similar role
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Functional IT skills (experience with maintenance systems beneficial)
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Strong awareness of Health & Safety requirements within the transport and logistics industry
