EL1 Data Scientist - Federal Government Department 

• $81.00 - $89.00 an hour + Super
• Government Department role, long term contract

ACM Healthcare is working on behalf of a Federal Government Department to source an experienced Data Scientist for initially a 12-month contract at an EL1 Level.
Duties:

• Lead small teams or projects, manage and plan resources and deliver analytics projects to timeframes and standards.
• Apply advanced data mining, machine learning and statistical techniques to data.
• Build, validate and deploy predictive and explanatory models to address business problems and inform decision‑making.
• Select and assess modelling techniques and data sources, ensuring data quality, integrity and security throughout the analytics lifecycle.
• Develop dashboards and visualisations using tools such as Power BI or Tableau.

 
Mandatory Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience in data science, analytics and statistical modelling, including machine learning and data mining.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R and experience with data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Personnel performing the Services may be required to sign a Deed and acknowledgements relating to confidentiality, security, Moral Rights, intellectual property and other relevant matters as required by the Entity. Any Contract will be conditional on this occurring. 
• As this role is within a Federal Government department it is a required to be an Australian Citizen at time of commencement
