EL2 Forensic Accountant - Federal Government Department 

• $98 - $111 an hour + Super
• Government Department role, long term contract
• Flexible work or work from home permitted

ACM Healthcare is working on behalf of a Federal Government Department to source an experienced Forensic Accountant for initially a 12-month contract at an EL2 Level.
Duties:

• Prepare clear forensic reports for legal proceedings, regulatory action, or internal governance purposes
• Where required, give expert witness testimony in courts, tribunals, or inquiries
• Conduct forensic examinations of financial records to identify fraud, financial irregularities, misconduct or misappropriation of funds
• Support fraud risk assessments, integrity reviews, and compliance investigations, Assist with litigation support, including document review, discovery and analysis
• Analyse complex financial data, transactions, and accounting systems to trace assets, reconstruct events, and quantify financial losses
• Provide expert support and advice to legal teams, investigators, regulators, and senior executives
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies, internal audit, legal counsel, and risk teams

 
 
Mandatory Requirements:

• Tertiary qualification in Accountancy/Commerce and experience in auditing, financial investigations or financial analysis
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a higher clearance if required by the Agency
• Successful candidates performing this role may also be required to obtain an Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission (ACIC) organisational suitability assessment.
• As this role is within a Federal Government department it is a required to be an Australian Citizen at time of commencement
