We are seeking a dedicated, high-performing Safety Professional to join our established team in Orlando. Reporting directly to the Safety Director, you will play a critical role in coaching, enforcing, and improving safety performance across our diverse heavy civil projects. The Role: Impact & Key Duties As a vital member of our safety division, you won’t just be auditing—you’ll be a strategic partner to our field crews. Your core responsibilities include:

• Program Oversight: Assist in the implementation and oversight of the Project Safety Program, including the development of site-specific safety policies and procedures.
• Training & Mentorship: Conduct comprehensive training, including New Hire Safety Training (NEST), regular safety meetings, and daily field huddles.
• Inspections & Audits: Perform rigorous project safety inspections and audits to ensure a hazard-free work environment.
• Compliance Monitoring: Assist with monitoring the project for ongoing compliance with all federal, state, and company safety requirements.
• Strategic Communication: Effectively communicate identified hazards, safety goals, and expectations with both craft employees and project management.
• Safety Administration: Utilize your understanding of regulatory record-keeping requirements and safety administrative procedures to maintain data integrity.

What You Bring to the Table

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in Construction Safety (Heavy Highway, Bridge, or Utility experience is a major plus).
• Education: A 4-year degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Safety Management, or a related field.
• Technical Edge: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, PowerPoint, and safety database management.
• Field Credibility: Knowledge of crane operations, asphalt plants, and lay-down activities is highly preferred.
• Communication: Ability to converse in basic Spanish and applicable field experience outside of safety will be highly considered.
• Credentials: Professional certifications (CHST, CSP, etc.) and active memberships in safety organizations are a plus.
• Mobility: A valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record are required.
