Are you a seasoned civil estimator who’s ready to own the entire bid process not just a piece of it?

We’re hiring a Senior Estimator to join a respected, self-perform civil contractor based in San Antonio, TX. This is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone who knows how to take a project from plans to proposal — and wants to do it without micromanagement or corporate red tape.

What You’ll Do

• Run entire bid processes from start to finish — scopes, quantities, pricing, submission.
• Handle takeoffs for utilities, concrete, water, sewer, storm systems, and more.
• Work closely with a team of junior estimators and takeoff technicians to validate data.
• Partner with the Director of Estimating, freeing him up to focus on strategy and key pursuits.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local vendors and subcontractors.
• Use tools like HCSS and Trimble Business Center to drive precision and efficiency.

What We’re Looking For

• 10–15 years of estimating experience in civil construction or sitework.
• Background in self-perform operations — ideally from a subcontractor or hands-on GC.
• Confident, detail-oriented, and able to run bids independently.
• Comfortable working with teams, vendors, and occasionally clients.
• No degree required — we value experience and results over credentials.
• Bonus points for being client-savvy or sales-minded
